Fasting and Prayer Programs

During this time of much persecution in the outskirts of Yangon, We dream about moving our church into the downtown area. It would be much more convenient for the people,better transportation, and a more central location.To be able to move the church into an apartment where around 50 people can fit in would cost us 150,000 Kyats.This rental deposit was beyond what we could afford. In those days our Sunday church offering was only around 100 Kyats (10 cent).150,000 Kyats was a giant mountain to us. BUT GOD IS THE MOVER OF MOUNTAINS -faith in Him would move this finanical mountain!

The Church started to fast and pray for ten days, believing that God would do something special. He is able and will meet all our needs. He is Jehovah Jirch! After ten days of fasting and prayer we thought we would get what we need. We did not! Again, in the second month, we fasted and prayed for a furhter ten days holding on to what the Lord said, "Ask and it will be given to you. "No miracle was seen in the second month. We kept on fasting and praying on the first ten days of every month. The third month came and went. Still no answer! We continue to pray more aggressively, still keeping our faith in His Word and His ability to supply everything we needed. Still no berakthrough was seen. Though our major financial difficulty was not solved, we were blessed and our faith grew as we fasted and prayed in the presence of the Lord. The fifth month came and went and still no answer! We continued to fast and pray during the sixth month, still no sign or miracle but we had made a decision to pray until we got our prayers answered.

After our month of prayer and fasting, I was invited by a church in Mandalay to come and teach a seminar on Praise and Worship. After the seminar, when I was about to return home, a baptist family invited me to their house to pray a blessing over them (it was after midnight when we finally finished praying). In return, my host family asked me if they could pray for my needs. I told them about the financial need of the church and they prayed concerning this need. After a time of prayer the father asked me when I needed the money. I said, "Now!" He continued, "After I prayed for you I believe I am to pay this 150,000 Kyats for the church. I don't have it in cash righ now, but I have a house and car that I can sell for the sake of the Gospel. It is not right for the church of Jesus Christ to be in great difficulty." This true believer asked me to come back after 10 days to collect the money. Ten days later I received the needed money! Hallelujah! Such is our God who is faithful enough to answer and grant His children's prayers. God provides a way in the wilderness; even in the wilderness of financial lack. He is the God who supplies. That was the first of God's miraculous provisions and the biggest amount of money I had ever seen in my life. It was a milestone of faith in my life and for the history of the Church. I was overflowing with joy in my heart and praise in my mouth as I took that money home to the Church. Without any delay we immediately rented an apartment for the Church to worship and share the Word of God together. Since that day we were free from any persecution from the neighborhood. One thing we learnt was this--there is power in fasting and prayer. This proved to be worth more than receiving even that financial gift.

After knowing the sweetness of this powerful fasting and prayer and from our miraculous experience, we could not stop fasting and praying. God births things through prayer and heartfelt dedication to Him. Full Gospel Assembly continues to fast and prayer for the first ten days of every month. We also pray for individual needs, whoever asks for prayer, for the church's needs, and for the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit in an end time revival, Many testimonies of God's provision and miracles of healing are seen in people's lives as the fruit of this fasting and prayer. Fasting and prayer has been another way to pull down the anointing and the presence of God in our church services. Though this fasting and prayer we are strengthened with characteristics such as zeal, unity, enthusiasm, and a love for the Gospel. And this helps our praise and worship to be real with the presence of God in our lives. Now, it is through prayer that this church has grown from 5 members to 2500 members. It is through prayer that God has blessed this church with more than 50 hard working full time ministers. In the beginning, our fasting and prayer meetings attracted only 4-5 people, but now, many people have come to know the power of fasting and prayer. God has blessed this church with prayer warriors to be channels of blessing to other people and for the nation.

Home Visitation

It is purposed to pray for and to take responsibility of the social matters of the Church’s members. The full time ministers are given responsibility to take care of the members in different townships as township pastors. The ministers with some prayer women pray for new year blessing in every January. Four or five people in a group goes one house after another which are the Church’s member, families.

Homecells and Home Church

It is designed to have better fellowship, spiritual maturity and desire for evangelism to the Church’s members who live in different areas. Each homecell starts around 7:00PM on different days of the week. There are also home churches on every Wednesday in different places by means of helping the new believers to grow in spiritual maturity.

Saturday Evangelism Programs

According to the Church’s Vision, some of the ministers and bible students go to different areas to tell the Gospel on every Saturday. Now, there are (14) places for evangelism around Yangon city. And the Gospel Team is sent to save the losts by working together with the Churches around Myanmar.

Praise & Worship and Choir practice

The praise and worship leaders change in turn for the services. The singing practice is on every Friday at 3:00PM in order to have harmony and fellowship among the leaders,back-up singers and musicians. Choir practice for Myanmar Service is practised on Saturday at 3:00PM. Choir practice for Chin Service(Zomi) is on Saturday at 3:00PM.

Bible Schools

(1) Full Gospel Bible Training Centre(FGBTC)

• This school is (9) months for diploma.
• The students also involve in the fasting and prayer, evangelism, praise and worship and usher as a practical training.

• It is (6) months course and the students are taught both the theology and action at the same time.
• They involve in Church’s prayer, homecell, home-visitation and support the church’s missions in other towns.

• This program is learnt through VCD. The subjects are translated in (15) main languages of (84) countries.
• There are (70) training centres in Myanmar.
• It is not only an easy to understand course by the native people but also a distant learning to earn degree from one’s own nation with the cheapest cost.

Church Special Programs

(1) Church’s birthday is on 13th of September and the celebration takes on the nearest Sunday.

(2) There is always Christmas Service on 25th December.

(3) On the 31st of December, the Watch-night Service includes giving thanks and praise to God, testimonies and new dedication for the coming year.

(4) On the 1st day of January, there is always New Year Service and the bible verses by draw lotsexciting for everyone.

(5) Fathers’ day is in June including songs of honor, prayer and gifts for fathers and special gifts to those who are over (60) years. This program helps grow love and understanding between fathers and children.

(6) Mothers’ day is in May including songs of honor, prayer and gifts for mothers and special gifts to those who are over (60) years. This program helps grow love and understanding between mothers and children.

(7) The last sunday of April is Children Sunday. The children participate by singing, drama and dance.

Children Ministry

There are always Sunday School programs on every saturday and sunday. Not only believers but also unbelievers come to the Sunday School centres in different places to reach the unsaved children and to make them to become helpful people for the nation. The centres have been extended to (34) places.

There is always Children Church on the last sunday of the month. In this service, children perticipate for master of ceremony(MC), praise and worship,testimonies, and preaching.The children become stronger in spiritual life and in faith by this Children Ministry.

Youth Ministry

There is always Youth programs on every saturday. In this program, they perticipate for master of ceremony(MC), praise and worship,testimonies, and preaching. There are some kinds of activities within the week. This is home visitation, pray for sick and evangelised to unsaved people. The youth become stronger in spiritual life and in faith by this Youth Ministry.
